Watton Festival 2005 got of to a flying start on Friday 21st October
with the launch event at the Wayland Hall for the Friends of the Festival, sponsors and invited guests.
'Classic in Harmony' provided the entertainment on this opening night.
John Kerr, Chairman of the Watton Society, organisers of the Festival, compaired the evening.

                
The Old Time Music Hall at the Queens Hall superbly led by Master of Ceremonies,
Peter Walmsley, showcased the many divers talents of the Watton Gaiety Group,
The Hiss & Boo Company, Wayland Players and the Rotary Club of Watton & District.




Junior Startime, sponsored by The Rotary Club of Watton & District attracted a very
full, very enthusiastic, full house on Sunday. Judges for the night with the unenviable task of picking
winners from the 60 or so very talented young people, ranging in age from 6 to 17, were Jade Brown,
Wendy Collins and Dave Scragg. Ivan Chubbock, Rotary President, presented the prizes.
